About Habutae-bari
Habutae-bari is an advanced papercraft technique: 12 layers laminated with rice paste only, with no base paint coating applied. The result weighs approximately 30g - less than half a standard mask (~80g) - and retains a warm, natural surface texture.

Habutae-bari has no base coating and is more sensitive to moisture than standard masks. Handle with care.
Ordering & Shipping
Authorized Komendo retailer — officially sourced from the maker, never resale. As an authorized retailer, we order your mask directly from Komendo. We place orders with the maker once a week, and your mask usually ships from our Tokyo shop within 1–2 weeks, followed by international shipping. In the rare case the maker has no stock available, we will cancel your order and issue a full refund in our weekend processing. Orders with multiple items ship together once everything is ready.
