Red, gold, and black — the royal road of fox-mask colors, used simply and well. On the brow of Kon (魂) floats something eerie: foxfire, or perhaps a soul, which is exactly what the name means. The eyes hold yours steadily, as if reading what is behind them.
The mouth is left free, so you can talk, drink, and sing while wearing it, and the generous eye openings give better visibility than most fox masks.

Habutae-bari: 12 layers laminated entirely by hand with rice paste and left unprimed, so the design is painted directly onto the warm, softly textured surface. Far lighter than the standard construction — a real advantage for a mask worn on the face — though the thinner build calls for gentler handling.

Authorized Komendo retailer — officially sourced from the maker, never resale. As an authorized retailer, we order your mask directly from Komendo. We place orders with the maker once a week, and your mask usually ships from our Tokyo shop within 1–2 weeks, followed by international shipping. In the rare case the maker has no stock available, we will cancel your order and issue a full refund in our weekend processing. Orders with multiple items ship together once everything is ready.
